What happens when I use more than my plan's included usage?
Usage beyond it is paid per second from your prepaid credit balance. We never charge your card for overage. Top up any amount from $10 to $5,000 via Stripe. Prepaid credit never expires.
What happens if my prepaid balance hits $0?
Your apps are scaled to zero and suspended. Before that we warn you: by email when your credit has about 3 days left and again under 24 hours (based on your current usage), plus a banner in the dashboard. You can also set your own dollar threshold. A top-up resumes suspended apps. Volumes and backups keep billing while apps are suspended, so your data stays safe. Keep a buffer in your balance for production apps.
How is egress billed?
Outbound data costs $0.06/GB and counts toward your included usage. Inbound data is free.
Do my apps sleep?
On Free, yes: after 5 minutes idle, and they wake on the next request in about a second. On Hobby and Pro you choose per app: always-on, or scale to zero and pay nothing while idle (volumes are still billed).
Where does my code run?
All compute runs on Hetzner Cloud in Nuremberg, Germany. Encrypted off-site backups are stored in Helsinki, Finland. Typical latency is ~10–40 ms within Europe, ~90–110 ms from US East and ~150–200 ms from India or US West. More regions will be listed only once they're live.
Can I upgrade, downgrade or cancel anytime?
Yes. Upgrades are prorated. Downgrades apply immediately, with no refund. If you cancel a card subscription, your plan stays active until the end of the paid period and then drops to Free. Nothing is deleted when you cancel. Details in the billing docs.
Can my AI assistant deploy for me?
Yes. Connect Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor to our remote MCP server (OAuth 2.1 with PKCE) and ask it to deploy, read logs, scale or add a domain. Tokens are scoped and you can revoke them anytime from the dashboard. Agents that prefer REST can use llms.txt and our OpenAPI spec.
